Museum of Material Culture
The Museum of Material Culture, established in 1995, hosts a collection of objects, work tools, and various other instruments used in the daily activities of farmers and artisans, most of which were donated by people who live (or lived) in the town. Inside the museum you will find two presses, an old bell from 1651 that rang above the hills of San Colombano for centuries, old photos of the town, a cotton gin, a plow, and other agricultural tools.
The Museum is open the first Sunday of every month from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 noon; it is also open on special occasions including town initiatives or demonstrations. Educational visits may also be planned upon request to the scholastic management. The building is not wheelchair-accessible.
